Branding

CCHA x SCADServe

In collaboration with over 20 other graphic design students under SCADServe, a full brand identity for the Chatham County Hospital Authority including logos, patterns, print material, and more.

Year :

2025

Industry :

Healthcare

Client :

Chatham County Hospital Authority

Project Duration :

10 weeks

Project Brief:

In collaboration with SCAD Serve, a community-based initiative established by the school, I worked with over 20 fellow graphic designers in my Business of Graphic Design class to develop an entire branding system for the Chatham County Hospital Authority. Their mission is to provide more accessible and improved healthcare to residents of Chatham County, Georgia, through their CCHA Trust Grant.

Solution:

We worked directly with the members of the CCHA in developing an entire brand in under 10 weeks, creating a brand language including logos, patterns, stationary, digital assets, motion media, and social media templates. I filled several different roles throughout the project, such as a researcher, logo designer, type designer, and was the primary designer for the 34-page CCHA Brand Guidelines book. At the end of the project, we were able to hand off everything we had created to the organization ready-to-use, and as of 2026 the branding we had established is still in use.

Challenges:

The most difficult part of this project was the timeframe we were operating within. We essentially had 7 weeks (due to the first 3 weeks being spent working on a separate assignment) to create an entire branding system, as well as assets such as websites, advertisements, and an entire brand book outlining every rule of the system.

Some days I'd need to meet with individuals to discuss their deliverables or visuals, as I was the final set of student eyes looking over the brand book and needed to ensure everyone was abiding by the guidelines we had set - needless to say, communication was a vital part of success in this class specifically.

Summary:

The class I had taken alongside other SCADServe students (see class roster below) for the Chatham County Hospital Authority was a valuable experience that not only showed me how the professional design world works, but it also taught me how to work with such a large group of designers.

As of 2026, the CCHA has implemented our branding system into their branding, including on their Instagram, advertisements, and United Way of the Coastal Empire's Facebook page.

SCADServe Student Roster: Aidan Bird, Avani Srirama, Garrett Velji, Lilly Goldberg, Patrick Morano, Andrew Dziubinski, Eugenia Galvez Pineda, Caelen Goudy, Julia Marzocca, Sofia Rey, Olivia Asam, Bella Calabrese, Cici Cao, Alayna Giever, Olivia Pingel, Charlie Anderson, Ella Carpenter, Mikey Geary, Hazem Salama, and Annie Thompson.
